BENEDICTINE CENTER
Spiritual Direction

Introduction

Spiritual direction provides a non-judgmental environment for honest sharing about spiritual matters. Whether in one-on-one sessions or in a group, participants in spiritual direction describe an improved sense of how God is working in their everyday lives.

Spiritual directors are trained to be exceptional listeners, paying attention to the movement of the Spirit and helping people move deeply into their own spiritual journeys. They can help a person choose resources, pray, and process times of transition or discernment.

There are no set number of meetings for spiritual direction, nor a need to commit to a certain length of time. Together with your director, you determine how this ancient practice can best be most helpful to you.

Most often guests meet monthly for about an hour, either at the monastery or at a more mutually convenient location.

Call 651.777.7251 or email Sam Rahberg to be connected with a spiritual director for a brief conversation to see if spiritual direction is right for you.

Direction Donations

The recommended donation for spiritual direction is 60.00 per hour. Those who are able often give more. Thanks to such generosity, assistance is available for others.

Waiting List for
Group Spiritual Direction

Spiritual Directors are available to provide group direction for up to six people at a time, using two-hour sessions, and at a cost 35.00 per person. Facilitated praying, sharing, and listening help participants notice God’s guidance and presence. Contact Sam Rahberg with interest and a new group will begin with four to six individuals.
