SUMMARY:BioSpiritual Focusing\, Level One
DESCRIPTION:An Introduction to BioSpiritual Focusing (Level 1)\nBioSpiritual Focusing is a way of opening the whole of ourselves—mind\, body\, and spirit—to a deeper connectedness with the self\, others and the Divine. Come learn more about how gently being with what is real and present within your embodied self can open the door to a deeper story—and to a greater sense of wholeness. This contemplative prayer practice is simple yet profound. It can be helpful for all ages. Simply show up and listen to what a specific bodily sensation feels like in the presence of the Holy One.  Then\, the potential for transformation and growth unfolds in the process. Our day together will include several experiential exercises to give you exposure to some of the components of BioSpiritual Focusing. \n  \n \n  \nKami Pohl\n\nKami received her training in Spiritual Direction from the Franciscan Spirituality Center in La Crosse\, Wisconsin.  She also completed advanced companioning training in BioSpiritual Focusing from the BioSpiritual Institute. She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station\, Texas and earned her Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota. She has experience working on a church staff\, corporate Human Resources\, teaching\, and being a mom. \nKami’s approach to spiritual direction starts with deep listening that facilitates spiritual growth and development.  She has special interests in BioSpiritual Focusing and Benedictine Spirituality as pathways to spiritual growth.  She creates a safe\, non-judgmental space to listen to both you and the Source of Love as you tell the parts of your story that are arising that day; to reflect with you; and to provide time\, space and a supportive presence as you notice\, nurture\, listen and sense the personal wisdom arising in you. This often leads to a profound experience of deep inner connection to all things\, including the natural world and the Divine. \n\n  \nJeff Dols\n\nJeff Dols is currently serving as one of the Oblate Co-Directors at St. Paul’s Monastery. \nJeff has experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.  At St. Paul’s Monastery\, he has served as Director of Mission Advancement and Interim Director of the Benedictine Center.  Jeff also previously served as Director of the Franciscan Spirituality Center.  Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in Servant Leadership from Viterbo University.
