New Addition to our Fundraising

Fall fundraising at the Monastery has taken on a new feature. We still have the tried and true Christmas at the Monastery, silent auction, All Soul’s Appeal, Sisters’ Circle, and commemorative pavers. Now, we have added an online option. A simple one where you shop and the Monastery receives a percentage of your purchase.

Mark your calendar to check out The House of Joppa in October. This is an online Catholic Faith shopping site. This site has many beautiful items including the “Violet Rosary – Mary’s Humility,” which includes an image of Our Lady crowned with flowers and “Ave Maria” inscribed on the back, the beads are a lovely pastel shade of purple, pale pink, and white. Or perhaps you would like a carved, wooden plaque of the Benedictine Medal. This is not only a décor piece but a reminder that, “…you are deeply protected and never alone.”

Of course, we understand if you keep these items for yourself, but this is also an excellent opportunity to support the Monastery two-fold. Purchase an item here during October and donate it to the Monastery for the silent auction in December. The items on this site would make excellent gift basket options for the upcoming silent auction fundraiser in December.

Speaking of the silent auction, this is one of our tried and true fundraisers and over the summer, staff have been diligently working on experiences for you to bid on. We have multiple overnight stays, museum passes, wine tasting, theatre tickets, comedy club passes, cross-country skiing passes, golf, and mini-golf to name just a few. The silent auction will start December 6 and run through the 13, mark your calendar so you don’t miss out.

Our traditional themed baskets work well as Christmas gifts. You can help us in our fundraising efforts in two ways with these. You can purchase items up front to donate to the Monastery and we will add these items to the baskets through the month of November with a deadline of the Friday 21st. We won’t be able to accept any items after this date as we need a few weeks to get the baskets organized into themes and photographed for the auction website. Until that time, the Monastery is looking for new items that fit well into the basket themes. You can see our Amazon Wishlist to get an idea of what we are looking for.  If you have further donations you’d like to bring, please give us a call first to ensure your items are a good fit.

Thank you as always for your enduring support of the Sisters’ legacy. Your support is an important part of what allows St. Paul’s Monastery to continue to bring peace and faith into a world that is desperately in need. We hope these suggestions make your support an easy choice.
